Here at BigLeaf Woodworks we create custom live edge furniture from previously downed trees in our area. Pieces of functional art, from coffee tables to large dining tables, confference tables, bed frames, and more. We can provide wedding arch and head table rental for your special day. Tons of great gifts for yourself or someone special.
With a love for nature and pleasing others we are happy to bring your ideas to life. Or pick from any of our on hand items that pop up from time to time.
A Little About How we got here….
My name is Brandon Avender
Having started working in the tree/ forest industry I had changed over to heavy duty mechanics to feed my love for trucks and cars. During my career as a HD mechanic a dear uncle had passed away leaving my family with many tools from his personal woodshop. Having the basic knowledge, access to the wood, and all the tools to create some pretty neat stuff I began to play. Quickly finding a passion for turning a log into a usefull art piece. People began to enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed completing the pieces. I’m sure you can tell now where this is going. After a couple years I was able to wash my greasy hands and trade my impact in for a skill saw. (2018)
7 years of learning through trial and error, working with amazing clients all over B.C and Canada, I look forward to meeting more amazing people and learn more with each day.
